Membership

Why join?

A membership to the American Legion gives you access to a community of Veterans and resources for support. It also provides a place for fellowship and connection with other veterans and their family members. 

Types of Membership:

There are four types of membership at Post 865: Regular members, Sons of the American Legion, Auxilary Membership and Social Membership. 

Eligibility for Membership: 

Regular Membership: If you are a actively serving in any branch of our military or have honorably served in the past you are eligible for a regular membership.

Son's of the American Legion:  If you are the son or grandson of someone who honorably served in the United States Military, you are eligible for a SAL membership. 

Auxiliary Membership: If your parent, grandparent or spouse has honorably or are currently serving in the United States Military, you are eligible for an Auxiliary membership. 

Social Membership: This membership is for anyone in good community standing that is sponsored by a regular member in the club.
